Selective
Laser Sintering (SLS) is a free form fabrication method to
produce components by precise thermal fusing (sintering) of
powered material. The powder is sintered to a pre-determined
thickness by scanning a CO2 laser across the surface of the
powdered material. After completion of one layer a fresh layer
of powder is applied on the part.
The un-sintered material acts as a support, which will be
later manually removed.
